BYD Fangchengbao Titanium 3 flash-charge EV

BYD’s Fangchengbao launches Titanium 3 (Leopard 3) flash‑charge EV from ¥153,800

On March 13, BYD’s Fangchengbao (Formula Leopard) said the Titanium 3 — also referred to by some outlets as the Leopard 3 — flash‑charge edition is now on sale in China. The launch includes a 620 km CLTC RWD trim and a 565 km CLTC AWD trim priced at ¥153,800–169,800. The model uses BYD’s Tian Shen Zhi Yan (God’s Eye) driver‑assistance system, with optional lidar on the AWD version.

The pricing pushes “flash‑charge” positioning into the ¥150k boxy EV segment, expanding Fangchengbao beyond its higher‑end off‑road image. While the company highlights fast‑charging as a core selling point, official materials have not yet published a charge‑curve or minute‑level charging time, so real‑world replenishment performance still needs verification.

For context, Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 uses an 800‑V architecture and can charge from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes with a 350‑kW DC charger. That global benchmark shows why fast charging is becoming a differentiator. What changed is that fast‑charge branding and lidar‑ready ADAS have dropped into the ¥150k class; what to watch next is whether BYD discloses the Titanium 3’s charging curve and how buyers respond as deliveries scale.
